i need some help processing this guys Matt Damon is going to be making a run at a congressional or a gubernatorial seat in a few years, as early as 2014. He's a very intelligent and informed kind of guy, and runs roughshod over conservatives who try to ambush him with political "gotcha" questions, so the play is to make him a mockery, to pass him off as a has-been actor only worthwhile as kitsch. Expect to see a fuckton more of this in the next few years.

When I saw the title for this post, I thought, "Haha, some joker has replaced all the textures in a Minecraft texture pack with pictures of Matt Damon." Then I clicked and saw that he'd only replaced some of the textures with Matt Damon, and for the first time in my life I thought, "Hmph. Not enough Matt Damon."

I'm not even particularly that big of a Matt Damon fan -- think he's a fine actor, wouldn't kick him out of bed, would probably vote for him too, but he's not someone whose movies I seek out and I don't metaphorically have pictures of him hung up in my locker Tiger Beat. So can somebody explain why this -- after months (years?) of people whose opinions respect recommending Minecraft -- is this what might finally get me to try it? Because I'm stumped.

Between this and mylittledamon, I can't tell how far-fetched Slap*Happy's comment is. I mean, there's absolutely no joke in either of those, at least none I can see. And Damon did seem like a candidate in that video about teachers. I'm confused. Yeah, that video smackdown is really fun to watch. If he runs for office, I'll be opening up my wallet to donate to his campaign day one.

I would say you should wait on such predictions until somebody makes a Good Will Hunting Skyrim mod. 1. Swap 'FUS RO DAH' for 'how do you like THEM apples?' 2. Swap 'I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow in the knee' with 'Sorry, I got to go see about a girl' And also, this is obviously a joke (even right at the beginning, the map pack file thingy says underneath 'We got MATT DAMON in here!', an obvious reference to the faux-feud between him and Jimmy Kimmel).
