These are lovely, but I find the star trails and projection warping distracting. Here's a few static panoramas at high resolution that are striking: <a href="http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap140611.html">over New Zealand</a>, <a href="http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap140412.html">Haleakala</a>, <a href="http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:ESO_-_Milky_Way.jpg">ESO Milky Way panorama</a>. This is the first time that I've seen a moving-picture panorama. I love how you can see exactly how each projection distorts the image by watching the velocity of the stars change. I found my brain adapting to these much more quickly than I expected.
