      That's an awesome mix. Kick Ass the movie though? Creepy. I watched about a half hour and couldn't take any more. I remembered what Ebert said about it, and at the time was like "what a moralizing fuddy-duddy," but dude was right.

      1) Pedantic correction: "Stand Up" is from The Prodigy's 2009 album, Invaders Must Die.  It also happened to be on the Kick Ass soundtrack.
      

      
2) I, too, was underwhelmed by this particular mashup. If we must have a "Mama Said Knock You Out" mashup, DJ Lobsterdust's "Knock Out Eileen" is way better.  (Which you can find alongside plenty of other wonderful mashups on the 2010 Best Of Bootie.)

I've also never really gotten over this one, which is Billy Joel and Jay-Z.  And to give it perhaps the greatest possible mashup compliment, it's forever changed how I hear both originals.

      I love LL Cool J's "Mama said knock you out". I love pretty much everything from The Prodigy. But I'm getting less of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup* vibe from this than I was hoping. You want 1+1=3, but this 1+1=1.667. The crap from the movie didn't help at the beginning.

      Every time we have a mashup post, I am compelled to link the Kleptones and Uptime/Downtime. I often listen to Uptime on repeat, just letting it play over and over and over, and I still have never gotten tired of it. The album is continuously-mixed, and it is just goddamn fantastic. (I can't say much about Downtime; it's the mellower of the two, and I'm not generally in the mood. I imagine it's also pretty good though.)
